Edit Number-Text Mapping dialog box

Use this dialog to map numbers to text for display (and input) on both the model and the interface. It is open from the Manage Number-Text Mappings dialog box or from the Scales and Ranges Tab of the properties panel. A number-text mapping is simply a way of associating numerical values with text such as 0/1 mapping to Off/On. This can make it easier to read outputs.

Under Number is the value that will be mapped, and under Text the text it will be mapped to. To edit either double click in the cell. To add a new pair click on , to remove an existing pair click on either the number or the text and click on . You can only enter numbers in the Number column, and you can't enter numbers in the Text column, other than that there are no restrictions on what you enter for text. The different text values need to be unique, but there is no other restriction on the text.

The values displayed will always be sorted by number. Therefore if you change a Number the position of the mapping you are working on may change.

Note You can enter NAN as a value and specify the text you want to display when the variable has not yet been computted or computes to NAN.

OK will accept your change, adding the number-text map if it is a new one or modifying it if it already exists.

Cancel will discard your changes.
